DEIONIZED WATER

Solar Shine SD only uses deionized water to clean your panels. The minerals in undistilled water can leave spots on the glass of your solar panels. If the water is super hard and is left sitting, it can etch the surface. If a hard water spot etches, there is a semi-permanent outline of the water spot on your glass that is challenging to remove and can obstruct light from charging your panels.

Solar Shine SD technicians are equipped with high end cleaning tools to efficiently and safely clean your solar panels. Hose fed poles and soft head brushes will ensure damage free panels with the highest sunlight absorbsion.

Accessing a roof is a task that should be taken seriously and with upmost caution. Not only is Solar Shine San Diego fully licensed and insured, but all technicians have undergone safety training courses to effectively and safely access and clean your panels.

We are flexible and communicative. All appointments are scheduled within a master calendar - with reminder texts sent the day before, and follow up notifications sent when it is time to schedule your next cleaning.

PANEL WARRANTY

Most solar panel manufacturers require regular cleaning to validate the warranty.   They want to see the documentation that you have had your solar panels cleaned every six months before they will honor the warranty.  While solar panel manufacturers want to take care of their customers, they often won't pay for damage that was caused by negligence if you didn’t properly maintain and check on your panels.
